Reimbursement policy

Cancellation until June 1st: $ 75 deduction.
Cancellation after June 1st: $ 125 deduction.
Once the camp begins: no reimbursement except for deaths in the immediate family (brother, sister, parents, grandparents) or a major medical reason (deduction of 75 $ in both scenarios).

Requirements

It is mandatory that any child under the age of 14 be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the camp week. If the accompanying adult is a musician and also wishes to participate in the music camp, the adult must register as a musician. An adult not wishing to participate as a musician can do so by registering as an accompanying adult and by paying the associated weekly fees (please refer to the list of fees below). An adult accompanying more than one child will only be charged once. The fees charged to the accompanying adult include all meals and accommodation. Accompanying adults not registered as musicians are not eligible to attend the workshops. We ask parents of campers under the age of 18 to pay close attention to the rules and regulations. Please remember that all persons attending the camp will be held responsible for their actions and personal belongings.

Youth class

Description :

  • Dynamic and fun learning program promoting the achievement of directory interpretation of objectives and knowledge integration;
  • Musical culture training through workshops on various topics affecting the subtlety of traditional.

DIFFERENT LEVELS OF EDUCATION …

… FOR DIFFERENT LEVELS OF MUSICIANS!

Here is a brief description for each level taught during the camp.

Beginner

  • Group classes for people of all ages;
  • Class requires a minimum of 2 years experience on the violin;
  • learning program promoting the achievement of the objectives of repertoire interpretation and integration of knowledge base (accuracy, rhythm, etc.);
  • Training for learning at a rate slowed to quietly develop a mastery of the instrument at the technical and the Quebec style.

Intermediate

  • Group classes for people of all ages;
  • Class requires a good command of the violin technique and the ability to learn pieces by ear;
  • Learning program promoting the achievement of the objectives of repertoire interpretation and understanding of style;
  • Training for learning at a moderate speed while remaining in the directory key (accents, « swing », melodies without ornamentation).

Advanced

  • Group classes for people of all ages;
  • Class requires a very good command of the violin;
  • Program to promote the achievement of performance objectives and understanding of the own game in Quebec;
  • Training for learning at a rapid pace and deepen the style and detail found in the Québec traditional repertoire.

Expert

  • Group classes for people of all ages;
  • Class requiring excellent mastery of the violin as well as a directory acquired over the years;
  • Learning program promoting the achievement of performance objectives in depth directory;
  • Accelerated training to refine the knowledge of the Quebec repertoire, working variations and ornamentations and discuss many subtleties that can be found in the practice of Quebec violin.

Medical emergencies

Onsite medical emergency assistance will be available at camp. To avoid potential problems, please ensure that you bring with you all medication, prescription drugs or other emergency medical supplies you may require (i.e. EpiPen, asthma pump).
