Reimbursement policy

The refund deadline is June 1. No refunds will be given after this date. An administrative fee of $50 will be deducted from the amount refunded. If we are able to replace your registration from our waiting list, we will refund your cancelled registration minus an administrative fee of $100.

Requirements

It is mandatory that any child under the age of 14 be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the camp week. If the accompanying adult is a musician and also wishes to participate in the music camp, the adult must register as a musician. An adult not wishing to participate as a musician can do so by registering as an accompanying adult and by paying the associated weekly fees (please refer to the list of fees below). An adult accompanying more than one child will only be charged once. The fees charged to the accompanying adult include all meals and accommodation. Accompanying adults not registered as musicians are not eligible to attend the workshops. We ask parents of campers under the age of 18 to pay close attention to the rules and regulations. Please remember that all persons attending the camp will be held responsible for their actions and personal belongings.

Teaching level for fiddle

The following is a brief description of instruction levels offered at camp.

  • Beginner : For participants of all ages who have studied the fiddle for at least two years, and who learn at a slower pace in a small group setting.
  • Intermediate : For those who have a firm grasp of fiddle technique, who are able to play by ear, and who want to learn the traditional Québécois style.
  • Advanced : For those who have mastered the violin and who wish to improve their skills and gain insight into traditional Québécois music.
  • Expert : For those wanting to deepen their knowledge of Québécois repertoire. This class is ideal for those wanting to work on improvisation and on specific ornamentation in order to give their pieces a softer and more natural sound.

Medical emergencies

Onsite medical emergency assistance will be available at camp. To avoid potential problems, please ensure that you bring with you all medication, prescription drugs or other emergency medical supplies you may require (i.e. EpiPen, asthma pump).
